Bassist, composer and singer, Avishai is the most prominent Israeli jazz musician, and has been named by Bass Player Magazine as one of the most influential bass players of the twentieth century. He previously performed at our festival in its second edition as part of Chick Corea's "Origin". Cohen has recorded with and accompanied many great musicians such as Bobby McFerrin, Roy Hargrove and Herbie Hancock. Currently, Avishai Cohen is the leader of numerous projects and groups. Accompanied by a brilliant quartet, he had an unforgettable performance in his visit to Jazz San Javier three years. This year, with his new albums, Duende and Seven Seas, Avishai returns to present his new quartet, which includes the brilliant saxophonist Eli Degibri.
