A living legend of the Hammond organ, and one of the creators of Memphis soul back in the nineteen sixties, when he lead the group Booker T. & The MG's. Booker T., along with Steve Cropper, Donald "Duck" Dunn and Al Jackson Jr. were the accompaniment, and the distinctive sound behind the legendary label Stax Records, and of artists like Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Eddie Floyd, Albert King and many others. He is a key figure in understanding the development of soul, Booker T. also performed with Bob Dylan, Kris Kristofferson, Bill Withers or Neil Young amongst many others, before his return to the Stax label.
