Jorge Pardo, saxophonist, flutist and composer, is recognized as one of the most influential living jazz musicians in the world. In 2013 he received the award for best European jazz musician, being the first Spaniard to be awarded this distinction. In 2015 he was awarded the “Premio Nacional de Músicas Actuales” by the Spanish Ministry of Educaction, Culture and Sports. On his third visit onto our stage, Jorge will present his special proyect for the 20th annivesary of the festival with the participation of the extraordinary flamenco guitarist Niño Jose, flamenco singer and dancer Tomasito, and the great jazz pianist Alberto Sanz, in addition to several other great musicians. Jazz San Javier is greatly honored to receive Jorge Pardo and the premiere of his special proyect.
