The young pianist Andrés Barrios, born in Utrera (Seville), is one of the most brilliant exponents of the new generation of pianists of the fusion of jazz with flamenco, the most genuine contribution of Spain to jazz.
Winner of the prestigious Filón award for best instrumentalist 2018 at the Festival del Cante de Las Minas, Andrés is a spectacular pianist with an exceptional sense of harmony and rhythm, as can be seen on his 2019 album “Al sur del Jazz”.
With a luxury trio that integrates two of the most sought-after musicians on the Spanish jazz scene, the Cuban double bassist Reinier Elizarde "Negrón" and the Iranian drummer Shayan Fathi, Andrés Barrios invites Manuel Lombo, one of the most admired Andalusian singers, for the last part of the concert, in which there will be a small tribute to the recently deceased Armando Manzanero.
