If there is an artist whose absence would be inconceivable for Jazz San Javier's 20th anniversary it would be George Benson, an icon of our festival who has honored us with his marvelous performances on five previous occasions. On one of his visits he was accompanied by Al Jarreau, to whom this year's edition is dedicated. George Benson a is living contemporary music legend, and one of the best guitarists in the history of Jazz. Winner of ten Grammy Awards, the 13th edition of the Jazz San Javier Award and the prestigious "National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master", George Benson is also a wonderful singer, who has brought jazz to many who would never have imagined it. Jazz San Javier is honored to once again receive this great maestro of the guitar and his magnificent band.
