Considered the greatest living jazzman in France, and one of the most important musicians ever in European Jazz, Michel Legrand is a pianist, arranger, orchestra director, and legendary composer who has composed more than two hundred movie and television sound tracks, with many unforgettable songs. In an impressive career he has won three Academy Awards (and has been nominated thirteen times) and five Grammy Awards. A virtuoso of the jazz and classical piano, he has performed and directed symphony orchestras and big bands throughout the world. In the field of Jazz he has collaborated with figures like Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Phil Woods, Ben Webster, Hank Jones, Art Farmer, Oscar Peterson or Tony Bennett. A great number of his compositions like "How do you keep the music playing?", "What are you doing for the rest of your life?", "Watch what happens, "The summer knows" or "You must believe in spring" have become Jazz classics and been covered by innumerable artists. A luxurious concert to close out the 20th edition of Jazz San Javier, with a living legend of Jazz and Film Music which will be etched into the pages of the history of the festival.
