Composer, pianist and arranger, Jesus "Chuchito" Valdes is the legacy of two Cuban jazz legends, his father Chucho Valdés and his grandfather Bebo. With an impressive mastery of piano, at times reminiscent of Oscar Peterson or Monty Alexander, Chuchito Valdés received a fantastic way of interpreting the treasures of Cuban music like the Mambo, Danzon, Cha-cha- cha and the Son Montuno from his illustrious predecessors. There is no one better than this, most prominent third generation member of this illustrious musical dynasty, to deliver Jazz San Javier's tribute to Bebo Valdes on the closing night of the festival. Also performing will be a special guest, the gorgeous singer Sandra Carrasco, one of the best voices of the new flamenco and the fantastic Spanish double bass player Javier Colina, who had a great proffesional and personal friendship with Bebo.
