Spectacular soul, groove and funk band, Funkystep was born in 2006 with the objective of paying tribute to the big names of black music. In 2009 Kathy & Yolanda Sey, the two sisters of the original singer Edna Sey, joined the band, re-naming it to Funkystep and the Sey Sisters and offering a show more focused on vocals, with a very extroverted and expansive choreographies. In 2015 they released an album with 13 of their own compositions, A Matter of Funk, under the artistic direction of Mike Mariconda and Marc Tena, two Black Music experts. We eagerly await this spectacular band of nine great artists which will be sure to delight our festival’s funk and soul aficionados.
