The acclaimed and presitigious North American jazz singer Stacey Kent has established herself in less than 20 years as one of the best jazz singers in the world. With a sweet and romantic style, her albums in English are a delight, but her songs in French also have a very special delight. A testament to this is her 2010 album Raconte-moi, entirely in French which has gone gold in France and Germany. She is also an extraordinary bossa nova singer, something she showed in the album The Changing Lights or on her live album with the great Brazilian musician Marcos Valle, which is probably the best bossa nova album of the past decade. Stacey Kent visited San Javier in 2008 as part of the "Músicas del Alma" cycle, in what was to be her first concert in the Region of Murcia; we eagerly await her return alongside her husband, the great saxophonist Jim Tomlinson.
