We enjoyed the music and art of Toni Zenet in San Javier for the first time in the XIX edition of the festival, in a fantastic night that he shared with the fusion supergroup Spyro Gyra. This great Spanish singer made it clear that he is one of the essentials in the music of our country, as well as a good actor and showman. He has just released a new album, “La Guapería”, essentially dedicated to the Cuban bolero, a magnificent album, and a good reason to invite him back to Jazz San Javier with the exceptional band that accompanies him, which is already by itself an incentive for any jazz aficionado. None other than Manuel Machado and Öve Larsson on trumpet and trombone, respectively, Pepe Rivero on piano, Raúl Márquez on violin and José Taboada's magic guitar. Excellent compositions of the Hispano musical heritage for this great vocalist who leads the new jazz in Spanish, in his long-awaited return to Jazz San Javier.
