Since the late 1980s Dianne Reeves has been known as one of the best female jazz vocalists, she is the successor of the great female jazz divas like Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington and Carmen McRae. Her albums are considered by many people to be the best thing that has happened in vocal jazz in the last decades, especially her albums I Remember, The Grand Encounter, The Calling: Celebrating Sarah Vaughan, and A Little Moonlight. Dianne has performed twice in Jazz San Javier, during the 13th edition with her own group, and with Terri Lyne Carrington during the 15th edition. Dianne returns to Jazz San Javier during a great moment in her career, after winning the 2015 Grammy Award for her album Beautiful Life in the Best Jazz Vocal Album category.
