Soul and funk singer, legendary bassist, and considered one of the most important and influential musicians in the history of music, Larry Graham played bass for the mythical band Sly & The Family Stone from 1966 to 1972, the band's most productive and successful period. He went on to found and currently leads Graham Central Station, another band which has marked the development of soul, and has influenced numerous musicians like Prince, with whom Larry has collaborated on several occasions. Larry is recognized as the inventor of the electric bass slap technique, which revolutionized soul and funk, and has been utilized by thousands of bass players. Larry Graham, who will perform for the first time in a jazz festival in Spain, will present Jazz San Javier with a high voltage concert, as is fitting for this living soul legend.
