Sunday July 18th
Plaza España, San Javier

Lucrecia

The Plaza de España, the heart of San Javier, will be the scene of the return to the festival of one of its most beloved artists. Lucrecia, considered by many to be the successor to the great Celia Cruz, is multi-talented, as she stands out as a singer, pianist, composer, television presenter, and notable writer of children's stories.

With a degree in music specializing in piano from the Higher Institute of Art of Cuba, Lucrecia received singing lessons from the composer of the famous bolero “Dos Gardenias”, Isolina Carrillo. She has lived in Spain since 1993, where she has become one of the most admired and endearing artists for several generations of Spaniards, and that affection is very evident in San Javier, where her previous concerts at the festival have left a pleasant memory.

Boleros, Cuban sounds, sympathy and energy in abundance form a good recipe to be happy with this universal Cuban.

Lineup:

Lucrecia (singer)
Félix Ramos (piano)
Robin Reyes (bass)
Bárbaro Torres (percussion)
Guillermo Calliero (trumpet)
Jimmy Jenks (sax)
