Jazz San Javier puts its best foot forward for a historic debut, Shuggie Otis, one of the legends of rhythm and blues, first concert in Spain. Son of another musical legend, Johnny Otis, Shuggie has been compared to Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Albert King and Freddie King since he was fifteen years old. His two albums Freedom Flight and Inspiration Information broke all musical genre rules. As noted critic James Sullivan, Shuggie Otis predated the stylistic synthesist Prince by half a decade. The Rolling Stones offered him Mick Taylor's vacant post, but Shuggie politely rejected. With an awesome band, which includes his brother Nick Otis, a spectacular drummer for Johnny Otis', Shuggie offers one of the most anticipated concerts this year.
