Brad Mehldau is considered to be one of the greatest pianists in jazz history, right up there with Bill Evans and Keith Jarrett. He is also the most influential pianist of his generation and has invaluably expanded the jazz repertoire to include songs from the likes of Radiohead, Nirvana, Elvis Costello and Nick Drake. Notable within his impressive discography, is his The Art of the Trio series, that has led the way for the jazz piano trio into the 21st century. Brad Mehldau, a living legend, despite his youth, returns to Jazz San Javier, where he performed during the third edition of the festival. This time he will perform with his trio, which includes Larry Grenadier on bass and Jeff Ballard on drums.
