Jazz San Javier presents the collaboration of two great Spanish artists. First, flamenco singer Ginesa Ortega. Musically formed in Catalonia, she took an an interest in flamenco and jazz fusion from early on in her career. She has worked with the Lliure Theatre Orchestra and Joan Manuel Serrat, among many others. Joining her will be Raynald Colom's Quartet. Raynald is a trumpet player who is known as "the Catalonian Miles Davis". Like Ginesa Ortega, Colom was also born in France, but was musically formed in Boston and Barcelona. He is an extraordinary jazz musician, very active in the Spanish flamenco scene. His fantastic performance during the 14th edition of the festival is still very fondly remembered.
