Recent winner of a 2016 Grammy Award for his album Go Go Juice, in the "Best Regional Roots Album" category, Jon Cleary is a funk and rhythm and blues musician born in Kent, England, but based in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he has dedicated the last twenty years to intensely study the rich musical culture of New Orleans. Pianist, guitarist, singer and notable composer, his songs have been recorded by great musicians like Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt or John Scofield. Respected by icons of New Orleans like Dr. John or Allen Toussaint; in fact Toussaint wrote the arrangements for the winds in his award winning album Go Go Juice; during his concerts Jon Cleary unfolds the best R&B of New Orleans, with a piano style which runs through the influences of Jerry Roll Morton to Fats Domino.
