Since his first visit to our festival in its V edition in 2002, Bill Evans given us with unforgettable nights. Such was the first visit of the Randy Brecker — Bill Evans Soulbop Band in 2004, the historic concert with the CTI All Stars Band in 2009, Robben Ford & Bill Evans in 2010 or Bill Evans Soulgrass Band in 2013. So we can consider him as one of the indisputable icons of Jazz San Javier, an inexhaustible and brilliant musician who continuously reinvents himself and always has something new to offer. What’s more, this exceptional saxophonist and composer still kept a surprise for us: he is beginning to sing at his concerts, and he does it quite well. We want to listen to him and his new band The Spy Killers, with the spectacular German drummer Wolfgang Haffner, the virtuoso of the Hammond B3 Simon Oslender and the groove master of electric bass Gary Grainger; Jazz Fusion at the highest level with a great band led by one of the most admired saxophonists on the planet.
