Considered one of the most influential musicians on the planet and one of the best bass players of all times, Marcus Miller, winner of two Grammy awards, has let us hear the characteristic sound of his electric bass in countless hits, such as “Just the two of us” by Bill Withers or “Never too much” by Luther Vandross, leaving his unmistakable mark in the careers of artists as admired as Roberta Flack, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Al Jarreau, Bob James, Lalah Hathaway or Wayne Shorter. The years he spent in the Miles Davis band are also important in his career, with whom he recorded six albums, one of which is the acclaimed “Tutu”. The great Marcus Miller returns to Jazz San Javier, after passing through its eighth and tenth editions, presenting his magnificent new album, “Laid Black”, nominated for a Grammy Award as the best contemporary instrumental album, another great success of this superstar of the fusion between jazz, funk and soul.
