On July 6, 1979 at the Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen, Denmark, there was a meeting between great jazz stars: Oscar Peterson, Stéphane Grappelli, Joe Pass, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen and Mickey Roker, in a wonderful concert that was released on disc, produced by Norman Granz, and under the name SKOL, one of the best live albums of the decade. San Javier Jazz, in its own production, has brought together some of the best jazz musicians in the European Union, to recreate the magical atmosphere of that concert.
The brilliant Swedish guitarist Ulf Wakenius, a member of the Oscar Peterson quartet; the great Pierre Boussaguet, good friend of San Javier Jazz and member of Michel Legrand's trio; the admired pianist Ignasi Terraza, winner of the 2016 Festival award; the brilliant violinist Raúl Márquez and the prestigious Catalan drummer Marc Miralta.
Fantastic musicians, a select repertoire and a lot of desire, a feast of good music for fans of the best jazz.
