The relationship of the harmonica player Antonio Serrano with Jazz San Javier has been long and fruitful, during these 25 years. Ever since the great Argentine guitarist Luis Salinas asked us for Serrano to be a special guest at his unforgettable concert at the 1st edition of the festival, telling us that "he was as good as Toots Thielemans", he has been one of the festival's favorite musicians, in projects with José Reinoso and Miguel Poveda, with Ignasi Terraza, with Carles Benavent, with Kirk Lightsey and many others, some projects created by the festival itself.
Undisputed master of jazz, blues, flamenco, tango and classical music, Antonio is, together with Olivier Ker Ourio and Grégoire Maret, one of the three greatest virtuosos of the chromatic harmonica in Europe; but what no one can match this brilliant musician is in his versatility and his absolute mastery in each of the aforementioned musical styles, something that has no parallel in the world.
