Very well known among rock fans as one of the founding members and co-leader of the legendary band Uriah Heep who also composed most of their classic hits. Singer, organ player and guitarist, Ken Hensley is of the great British rock treasures of the 1970s. He was also of a member of other important bands like Blackfoot and has had an extensive solo career, which took off when he was still a member of Uriah Heep with his well remembered album Proud Words On A Dusty Shelf. His impressive work as composer, and masterful performance on the organ on songs like “Traveller in Time”, “Easy Livin’”, or “Rainbow Demon”, place him on the top of the list of the greatest of hard and progressive rock along with John Lord and Brian Auger, as one of the best organ players in the history of British rock.
