Swedish bassist, cellist, composer and arranger Lars Danielsson is well-know and admired throughout the International jazz scene for his lyrical playing and strong groove. Danielsson is one of the most valued stars on legendary European record label ACT’s roster, and is author of some of the most beautiful compositions in contemporar Nordic jazz. He has worked with several notable jazzmen like Randy and Michael Brecker, John Scofield, Jack DeJohnette, Mike Stern, Charles Lloyd or Terry Lyne Carington, and has formed part of percussionist Trilok Gurtu’s group. A great example of his qualities is his latest work Liberetto 2, an album which he will present in Jazz San Javier accompanied by a group of extraordinary musicians: legendary drummer Magnus Östrom, one of the most spectacular drummers in Europe, and well known in San Javier thanks to his two previous perfomances with Esbjorn Svensson’s trio; pianist Grégory Privat, a rising star with an interesting solo career; prestigious British guitarist John Parricelli, and trumpet player Sebastian Studnitzky. A group of top virtuosos for Danielsson’s debut in Jazz San Javier.
