Australian pianist, vocalist and composer Sarah McKenzie is one of the Brightest new figures on the international jazz scene. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she recorded two notable albums with the Australian record label ABC Records, Don’t Tempt Me (2010) and Close Your Eyes (2012) before drawing the attention of the legendary jazz label Impulse, which was responsible for some of John Coltrane's best albums. Her first album for Impulse We Could be Lovers, produced by Brian Bacchus who previously produced Norah Jones and Gregory Porter, has won the Bell Award for Best Australian Jazz Vocal Album 2015. A wonderful piano player and singer, with an extraordinary band performing the sort of repertoire which creates jazz lovers. What else could we ask for?
