Allan Harris is an award winning Jazz vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter from Harlem, New York, and one of the most admired musicians of his generation. The Miami Herald wrote that Harris’ voice and demeanor “project the warmth of Tony Bennett, the bite and rhythmic sense of Sinatra, and the sly elegance of Nat ‘King' Cole.” Perhaps best known for his interpretations of jazz standards, Allan’s smooth vocals and guitar-styling easily cross genres, from jazz to rock to blues. We particularly like his album Convergence, where his beautiful baritone voice, alone with Takana Mitamoto’s piano, gives way to one the best and most romantic Jazz Standards albums of the past decade. Tony Bennet calls Allan Harris “my favorite singer”, and he is definitely worthy of the praise.
