The trumpeter, singer and saxophonist Andrea Motis is the most brilliant young talent in Catalan jazz and one of the most admired musicians of Spanish jazz, who, only at the age of 20, has managed to record an album on the legendary Impulse label, in which essential jazz stars as John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Ray Charles, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Dizzy Gillespie or Max Roach were recorded. This album, called "Emotional Dance", was recorded at the Carriage Howe studios in New York by Brian Bacchus (producer of Norah Jones and Gregory Porter) and Jay Newland (the winner of a Grammy Award for Best Album). Already a worldwide phenomenon of jazz, with frequent concerts in Europe, Japan and America, Andrea Motis debuts at Jazz San Javier accompanied by a fantastic band with her mentor Joan Chamorro on double bass and tenor sax, the great Esteve Pi on drums and the brilliant Ignasi Terraza at the piano.
