Anna Luna, one of the most prestigious singers of jazz and Brazilian music in Spain, as well as a guitarist and composer, was born in Barcelona, trained at the Conservatorio de Sabadell in Piano and Musical Language, and later expanded her studies on Harmony, Voice, Guitar, Cajón and Flamenco dancing. She has been a vocalist of the Janio Martí Orchestra, the Maravella Orchestra and the Cotton Club Big Band, and she has played with musicians such as Miguel “Angá” Díaz, Jordi Bonell, Pedro Javier González, Víctor de Diego and David Palau. Among her recordings are the albums: “Alguien” (1997), “Jazidas Project” (2002), “Batida Diferente” (2003), “Spring Is Here” (2005), “Sketches” (2007), “Feminine” (2011) or the most recent “Urubú” (2016). Anna Luna combines a great teaching activity with national and international tours, and comes for the first time to Jazz San Javier, accompanied by five great musicians, to show us why she is considered one of the best Spanish vocalists, dazzling when she approaches the repertoire of Brazilian Popular Music.
