With forty years of life and several albums that today are considered classic records within the history of rock, such as “This is the sea” (1985), “Fisherman's blues” (1988) or “Room to roam” (1990), The Waterboys, the band led by the charismatic Scottish musician Mike Scott, is an undeniable reference in the world of folk and rock & roll, it has been one of the key groups for the recovery of the popular taste for folk music with Irish roots. Compared by many with the best Neil Young, after their magnificent double album of 2017 “Out of all this blue”, The Waterboys open the XXII edition of Jazz San Javier with the presentation of their recent album in Spain, “Where the action is”, to be launched on May 24, 2019.
