Born in the beautiful Valle de Laciana in León, and of Cape Verdean descent, vocalist Dora Helena has been a resident of Santiago de la Ribera, in San Javier, since she was fifteen years old, and in recent years she has led several musical projects, including highlights the Tribute to Tina Turner and the band of soul and pop versions called "Grandes Divas".

With a voice especially gifted for soul, and promoted by San Javier Jazz, Dora Helena has launched a new project that premieres at this XXIV edition of the Festival, along with some of the best jazz musicians in the Region of Murcia and the prestigious saxophonist from Alicante, José Luis Santacruz, a project that will mark a new milestone in the career of this great singer.
