The Australian musician Adrian Cunningham, who lives in New York and frequently visits Barcelona, is one of the most recognized instrumentalists of current jazz.
With a refined technique on the saxophone, clarinet and flute, as well as being a singer and composer, and great qualities as a leader, he has managed to position his “old school” band as one of the world references within Swing and of traditional New Orleans music.
Throughout his career, Adrian has played with such prestigious musicians as Wynton Marsalis, Jon Batiste, Rene Marie, Fred Hersch, Randy Brecker, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Wycliffe Gordon and Bucky Pizzarelli, among others.
It is a luxury to have this brilliant musician and his prestigious band to inaugurate the 26th edition of Jazz San Javier.
