The most universal Portuguese artist, known as “the Queen of Fado,” has performed on the world’s most important stages, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Sydney Opera House, and the Olympia in Paris.
The public's recognition of her artistic greatness is reflected in more than thirty platinum records and countless national and international awards.
Born in Mozambique and raised in Lisbon, her repertoire, mainly consisting of classical and contemporary fado, includes numerous influences that enrich fado and make it a music with greater global projection.
On her first visit to Jazz San Javier, Mariza will present songs from her latest album "AMOR" and a selection of the most beautiful songs from her career, accompanied by a quintet of magnificent musicians.
